Please help...I think my car is immobilised !!!
Lent my 156 JTD (136bhp) to my Dad today and he’s somehow managed to (well I think he has) immobilise the car.
The battery in the car is brand new but the key fob rubber is split and usually take a few attempts to unlock the central locking - this could be the battery though.
Symptoms are as follows: -
When blipping the key fob the driver’s door pin raises and the doors can be opened (none of the others rise though)
When you blip the key fob the “beep-beep” can be heard but the indicators do NOT flash
When you’re eventually in the car and turn the key absolutely NO dash lights come on whatsoever.
Any ideas as I need to get it MOT’d ASAP and I can’t move it off the drive at the moment !!!
Also what size battery would I need to replace in the key fob?
He's dead Dave. Everybody's dead. Everybody is dead, Dave!
