V6 Motor replacement.

If i fit a new motor in to the beast how do i go about registering it.

Someone is going to want to know the engine number arn't they? Anyone go some info?

Yeah, it's just case of telling then the new engine number and getting a new V5.
I`ve done it loads of times on different cars and if it's the same type of engine then no need to tell anyone else but them.

Don't suppose it matters anyway if your just swapping one engine for another. If the engines out, fancy a re-bore?

Apart from telling the DVLA, the only other thing I'd do is make sure you have, and keep proper receipts for the purchase of the new engine.

When I built my kit car many years ago it had to have a Police inspection..which I (mad fool) thought was a safety thing. He had a brief look at the car and spent the other half hour going through receipts and questioning me about where I'd got the various components...just in case I'd acquired nicked goods Just cover yourself.

The only people you have to notify are DVLA. You do this with the V5, write the new engine number and tick the update details box and post. Easy.
