GT Clutch - Pump action, and action at the end of the pedal.. Master/Slave cylinder?
So I made a post a few weeks ago about having trouble occasionally with gear selection - specifically the forward back motion of the gear selector to go in/out of gear..
Well after a bit of playing about I'm finding that a few swift pumps on the clutch before use will more often than not clear this issue up..
Also the action of the clutch is riiiight at the very bottom of the pedal range of motion.. Pedal is extremely light for the majority of the distance, and then heavy at the bottom at the business end.. When I'm coming off the clutch, only need to be a tiny bit up from flat on the floor and the plates start engaging and I'm rolling.. I've never noticed any clutch slippage at all (and the car has only done 39k miles!), so hopefully the clutch/DMF is all fine, but after reading a little about here I'm thinking it could maybe be the hydraulics?
Seen a lot of chat about master/slave cylinders being replaced, and also simple thing like just bleeding the fluid to get rid of any air..
Anyone got any DIY friendly troubleshooting advice I can try and follow to eliminate a few possibilities? The more pictures the better...
