Re: Lamda Probe - Help
Ah yes, It can be a real B*gger can`t it.
First, drop the exhaust so you can really get to it. I know it`s a pain but it really is worthwhile. Soak in WD40 or similar like Mike says.
Spend £12 on a 3 foot breaker bar and put a proper lamda socket on the end of it (another £8). Alternatively, if feeling confident and brave, snap/beat/saw as much of the old one off and use a normal socket.
If you can`t shift it with a breaker bar then you are in trouble and may need to heat the surrounding area a lot to help free it off.
But to be positive you should be ok with a 3 foot bar and they are handy tools to have about anyway, such as when the local Kwak Fit monkey tightens your wheel nuts with an air gun and you can`t get them off again!
