I've owned my GT Q2 for a little over 2 years but have now decided to sell it. My 18 month old boy is an absolute unit and getting him in and out of the back is getting harder. Hints are also being dropped for a 2nd. I've ordered a new 5 door Golf R so that should make up for parting with the Alfa.
I'm sure most on here will know what the Q2 edition is. The diff really makes it, I'm not going to be able to get another FWD car without a LSD now.
I've had plenty done in the time I've had it. Powder coated alloys, new uprated clutch and dual mass (ouch!), new body ECU (ouch!!), clutch masters and slave cylinders, new battery, silicone boost hose, passenger side upper wish bone, passenger side inner CV and 190bhp remap. The majority of this work as well as routine servicing has been carried out by AFH1 Alfa specialists and I've had it serviced before variable service indicator on dash. Service record is as below.
13/11/07 - Pre delivery service - Whitequay Alfa Romeo
21/10/08 - 12683 miles - Service - Whitequay Alfa Romeo
26/06/09 - 24586 miles - Service - Whitequay Alfa Romeo
05/11/10 - 54717 miles - Service - Stoneacre Motor Group
27/08/11 - 74423 miles - Cambelt Service - Alfa Technico
01/11/11 - 78490 miles - Service - Alfa Technico
31/07/12 - 95579 miles - Service - Lookers Alfa Romeo
10/04/13 - 104456 miles - Service, flywheel & clutch - AFH1
24/05/14 - 116217 miles - Service - AFH1
Next cambelt due at 144k or Aug 2016 according to the manual. MOT due November 2015. Mileage is now at 120k.
In summary service history is not squeaky clean but had a lot of the big hitters done already. Not got a receipt for the cam belt but spoke to Alfa Technico and the confirmed they always change the water pump.
Bad points. Front bumper is stone chipped but not horrendous and has a small crack by the right wheel. Silver grill trim has a small paint flake near bottom of the V. Ride is a little firm, not sure if the Q2 is worse than a standard GT. Small ding in door. Small scratch near boot, small ding in passenger sill probably caused by a stone but not very noticable, definitely not been jacked on the sill.
The interior is in excellent condition and I've changed the radio to a high end Pioneer whilst retaining the Bose amp, sub and speakers.
I'd like £4000 but am open to offers. Ideally I'd like to sell mid Jan when the Golf is due for delivery.
