Wouldn't six pots be a bit much on a 2 litre, 150 bhp car?
Yes, they would be. But ultimately its not my intention for it to remain 150hp.
I have a few ideas in mind, but will take awhile til i can afford it so id like to sort everything else first.
One thing that has got my attention is the Autodelta turbo conversion they offer. Not cheap at £3.5k but thoroughly worth the expense im sure!
However, its still a braking advance and is still practical in theory whether its stock power or not. 6 pots and its respective hardware would suit heavier, harder braking, i could approach faster, brake harder and quicker is less distance.
Personally i dont rate my OE brakes at all, they fade far too quickly for my liking!
Aftermarket replacement pads and discs would be fine for now im sure, but its pointless wasting money to then replace them. One idea i had was to get some GTA brakes up front now, and stick to Tarox G88 and Ferodo DS2000 pads on the rear. Though having looked into it, it would seem i need the lower suspension legs among other things for the GTA setup to work.
So if i can find them at a good price ill get hold of it all, if not its cheap and cheerful aftermarket ones meanwhile as driving my car now doesnt inspire much confidence when i need to stop fast!
