Replacing Nav+ stereo system in Alfa GT

Hi all,

Apologies if this query exists somewhere else!

I've just bought a 2005 GT and all seems grand, I just want to change the stereo but still use the steering wheel controls AND the built in microphones for the handsfree.

I'm looking at a couple of different stereos (Alpine and Pioneer so nothing too shabby) which have BT connectivity, but wondered if anyone had any tips etc. for connecting an after market stereo whilst still using the above mentioned features as well as suitable fascias?

Check out this thread.

What sort of budget have you got? Connects2 make a few nifty adapter boxes that interface between the Alfa systems and aftermarket stereos.. Not 100% reliable though from what I can gather!

There are a few other good comments related to this topic here (inc one from me. )

If budget no issue go for it but Ive ditched the steering controls and don't miss them a bit. You will also loose the dash display of channels etc when you fit the after market HU but no biggie!
