Juddering, misfire, MCSF, MAF?
Back story, the 147 twinny (1.6) developed a judder and lack of power when I reved to 4k but once it went through it was ok. I graduated to throwing up the eml and MCSF but when I let off the power it went away.
That is still there, however now I have been noticing that there is a misfire or hesitation lower down the revs, it started juddering (like it wasn't getting enough air or fuel) at 2k and up to 3k, if I go back onto the power after lifting off or turning a corner etc, I get a judder (worse in 3rd gear).
So, this morning I'm driving to the train station as usual, but I noticed that there felt like lots of little misfires or judders and the engine was struggling for power, then MCSF came up, eml light flashing and it wouldn't stop or go off when I lifted off.
It passed its MOT two weeks ago with flying colours,Mathis fault present at the time. My head is saying the MAF but I dont want to spend money on it and that not being. The case.
Also, last year I suffered the indignity of having the crank sensor go whilst at a toll booth! This problem had been there at that time (re img to 4k and eml etc coming on and feeling judders) however there were no fault codes showing at the time other than the crank sensor, so is it the MAF?
It is sat at the station car park and I'm not too happy about driving it home, lots of hills and motorway etc so may just call the breakdown.
