my new 156 - advice appreciated
I'm the proud new owner of a 2001 156 2.0 TS selepeed in silver with just under 60k on the clock.
I purchased her at auction and hve budgeted a decent ammount of money to make sure she is running well.
On tuesday I am going to take her to my local alfa/fiat specialist garrage (who looked after my old fiat very well) and have them conduct the 72k (major) service - with the additional advice to not just check the cambelt and tensioners, but to replace them all.
I am also getting all four tyres replaced.
The only issue the car seems to have is a vibration through the steering wheel and speeds from 70-85mph. The vibration is only present when there is a constant pressure on the accel (to maintain a constant speed) and seems to dissapear under acceleration or when I remove my foot from the gas. I'm hoping the fresh balanced tyres will fix the issue, but should I give my mechanic something to look out for?
any other advice on what to ask the mechanics to check/do would be appreciated.
