I really cant see the actual mesh section having the break, its ment to flex so isn't the first thing that goes. It may be the weld to this from the manifold section. If so ask the garage if they can have a go at repairing the section instead of replacing it. Be a dam site cheaper, and seeing they need to remove this anyway it might be work asking them. Its a hell of a part as well this, it houses the lamba sensors (2 off i think), and is quite a size.
But as long as they have no problems removing the old bolts from the manifold and centre section it should take them no longer than 2 hrs to complete the job, probably a lot quicker TBH. There shouldn't be a problem with your lamba's, so they will be removed from the old section (i'm assuming they are removable? If not they will come with the new one).
So get to a good exhaust specialist, and expect to pay around £40-60 per hour labour rate. Plus the cost of the part + new bolts, and gaskets.
