Is this a gimmick?

Or is it likely to work by cleaning the engine and improving combustion?

Re: Is this a gimmick?

From what the reviews say it sounds legit. You try it first though

Snake oil if you ask me. I took the head off my old Rover 214 a few years ago. It had done 110,000 miles i think and it was spotless inside, not even the exhaust valve needed any cleaning. Modern fuels are so clean that carboned up engines are a thing of the past.

Re: Is this a gimmick?

Combustion areas as Rockhopper says, stay pretty deposit free with todays fuels, not so sure about the cat's though? I suppose if they are working efficiently, they should be ok though. Did read a report on a vehicle that failed it's emission tests, but passed after the use of 'Cataclean'. but this was naturally rubbished on AO Have yet to prove the validity of the claims, but as I said previously, it was in a publication that has been in print for decades??:
