Unclipping glove around handbrake... 2002 156

Hey Everyone

Really simple question...

As you know, a lot of Alfa interior parts come off by pulling them, 'cos they are just clipped on. But often, the clips break off when you do this! (Eg the little black cover on the inside of where the door mirrors are!).

Anyway... I need to unclip the leather glove surrounding the handbrake on my facelift 156 - where do I hold it to unclip it, without snapping anything?

Thanks for your help!

On my 147 it was a case of feeling under the leather and squeezing the inner frame off. However I did manage to crack the inner frame but it repaired with some gaffa tape, guess they are cheap enough anyway.
