Re: X1 Gta
The way that Mythbusters showed the US speed camera was different in operation to the UK one.
In the UK, the camera flashes twice in rapid succession and it is the distance travelleved in the time taken, between the white road markings that they calculate the speed from. On this basis, you need a car that will cover the distance between the first road marking and the last one in less time than elapses between the two camera flashes, so the 179mph in the TVR is feasible and realistic (apart from the fact that camera's tend to be on bends or curves inthe road, and you'r need to be a complete and utter loony to try some of these bends at over 180mph!!!
What they showed on Mythbusters was just one flash and a conventional camera, so unless you were travelling faster than light - impossible, or out of range of the camera focus, you'd be nicked at what ever speed you were clicked at!
Surprised no one from the UK has been in touch with Mythbusters and told them there is a different system in the UK, and one which could be beaten!
