Re: 147 diesel qustions?
In the first 7 000kms the car will consume about 1 liter of engine oil...so keep an eye on that...don't relay only on the board computer for that!!!
It is a very good thing to change the oil at around 8 000kms, even that your first service is scheduled for 20 000kms.
For the first 7 000kms, be careful taking the car above 3500rpm, drive the car at different speeds, different gears. Avoid short trips...when the engine is cold, don't go above 2500rpm before it reaches at least 70*C.
Once the car reaches 8 000-10 000kms you can start exploring its potential, which will go stronger and stronger till you reach 100 000kms where the car should be at its best (that is for diesel engines only, sorry petrol lovers).
After trashing the car around, LET the turbo cool down...either by driving the car the last few miles at low rpms, or letting the engine run for 2mins once you stop...so that the oil can pass trough and cool it down. Remember that...it is very important for your turbo!!!
After the first 7 000kms the car will start consuming about 1 liter less then before...as well the performance will increase...
Take care, and wish you only good moments with your new bella
