Re: Glove Box Removal
I have a 2003 model (slightly different dash, but don't think this would have changed) and it is a long time since I did this so it might not be 100%.
remove any trim under the dash in the passenger footwell (mine has two bolts). then open the the glove box, you need to prise out the rectangluar plastic bits that the plastic arms go into that stop the glove box door going too far. These clip in, so it is a question of using a screwdriver to lever them out on the top and bottom (not sure if you can get to them from behind). Once these plastic bits are free, you then need to push the plastic arms to one side or the other to let the stops fit through the bigger rectangluar hole. Then you can remove the screws holding the door on which can be seen in the passenger footwell. Once the door comes off there are several screws that need to be removed to extract the glove box.
By conicidence when I did this someone else wanted to know about it so I took some photos.
