Don't get me wrong, the car's a wrong 'un, but I'm just putting a more positive/workable spin on it. Sure, in a perfect world matey will get a report from a specialist to say it's been poorly repaired after being durfed, he takes it to the dealer who says 'fair dues guv, here's your money back', but from prior experience, CAB and/or trading stds are very sympathetic but under resourced & over stretched, and could take weeks to actually approach the garage, let alone do anything useful. Likewise, going down the small claims court route is worthwhile but again, long winded. Of course, the threat of all this may be enough. I was just suggesting another route to make the best of a bad job.
