Resetting the ECU

I've read a few posts that mention that when the battery is disconnected for an extended period, it will reset the ECU. This then 'relearns' best performance from your driving style over a while.

I don't have my 147 long, but I'm wondering now if it might be worthwhile to reset this anyway. Would it make any 'real' difference?

There's nothing actually wrong with the performance. Well, not that I know anyway, since I've never driven it any other way!!

All thoughts appreciated.

Re: Resetting the ECU

Ever heard the saying, if it aint broke, don't fix it? If it`s running fine then a reset won't do anything useful - unless the previous owner drove everywhere at 10mph.
