Re: Throttle potentiometer on '99 1.8TS?
The throttle potentiometer is the usual name for the potentiometer at the top of the acellerator pedal, used for the "fly by wire" throttle on selespeeds and the facelift models. afaik earlier models did not have a "fly by wire" throttle (or did they ?) but used this for throttle position sensing. Anyway it's more likely to be the connector to the pot than the actual pot itself, check the connector closely before spending anything, it's a known connector to fail.
If thats the potentiometer and it really has failed then it is about £270 + VAT to buy new (ouch) + fitting of about an hour, though if you fancy trying/chancing a secondhand one you can get them from about £30-50.
in EPER search for part 46810176 think thats the one, it will get you close to the right one anyway. you'll never find it by name as it's spelt PONTETIOMETER, dunno if thats italian version or simply a big typo but sure makes finding it harder.
