Re: 2006 GT JTD Clutch Pedal "smoothness"?
Well my first experience of an Alfa service centre is not good.car was booked in three weeks ago for the clutch replacement and we delivered it to the dealer at 0800 on Monday morning. The loan car is a 147 which is the most disgustingly filthy car I have ever seen (you wouldn't sit in it in your best clothes)
As we had heard nothing by 1630 on monday I phoned them to find out what progress had been made and what time to collect the car, the answer was "we haven't got authority from Alfa yet" they only had three weeks !
Again we had heard nothing by early afternoon today so called them to find they were just starting the job ! and was told it was booked in thier book for three days (no one told me that, it's a 5 hour job) I spoke to the service manager and expressed my dissapointment at thier lack of progress and lack of communication, he said he would investigate and call me back, guess what ? he didn't.
I called them again to be told the dual mass flywheel was found to be leaking and they would have to order one. If they had started the job on the day it was booked in and called me to say they had to order a flywheel all would be fine but it has sat there for one and a half days, no communication from them, and little interest in customer service at all.
If this is typical of Alfa service then it's sod the warranty and I will do it all myself (22 yrs a mechanic with two at an Alfa dealer)
