Wood-pigeon through my 147 facelift headlight

Just had a wood-pigeon smash the headlight cover on my facelift 147 JTDm.

Does anybody know whether you can buy just the cover or you have buy a whole headlight?

Also is the procedure for the facelift model the same as older 147s, i.e. bumper off, wheel arch trims off etc.

And is the headlight levelling thingy easy to remove and reconnect?

This is based in 156. You need the Whole headlight as the chances of the reflector, bulb holders etc being unscathed is zero. To get at the lower mountings, you need to either remove or at least drop the front bumper. You can get away with removing the arch liners, the screws under the grilles and the screws in the wing on the side you need off. That'll let the bumper drop enough to get at the bolts.

The headlight motor detaches easily. If you get a complete headlight it'll have the motor pre-fitted.

PS did you cook the pigeon?
