After the dryer on the carwash at my local Morissons forecourt took a chunk out of my spoiler I decided to persue a compensation claim to get it repaired. I expected a fight as the disclaimer outside the carwash explained 'No resonsability can be accepted blah blah blah' However I took pictures of the damage & filled in a claims form that I got from he assistant in the payment kiosk. I explained it was only 3 days old to me and listed all this in a well draughted letter to there insurance dept.
Imagine my suprise when a week later I got a letter back asking me to provide them with 2 quotes for repair. A good start I thought even though it stated that they hadn't accepted responsability yet. I sent them 2 qoutes the next day and a week later (today) I get a phone call from my local bodyshop saying that he's recevied a fax from Morissons telling him to go ahead with the repairs.
They're delivering a hire car to me the morning that I'm taking mine to the bodyshop then collecting it the next day when mine is finished. All in all I'm over the moon with the way I've been treated by Morissons. I'll be using there jet washers and supermarket more often now. Just goes to show, not every large corporation has forgotten it's customers!!
