2 years ago, I had to leave my 147 sleeping at my parents home because I could not keep it where I live now (in Paris). For professional and personal reason I could not go back very often and, when I did, I didn't even thought of starting it up.
Now, 2 years later I want my car back but I guess she's a bit mad at me because it would not start. Unfortunately, the car is in a basement and it won't be easy to get it out of there without the engine power
First I changed the battery which was dried up (almost no acid in it...). Then I tried to start again. The stater motor works fine but the car's engine does not start at all not even a hum.
I suspect a problem somewhere in the fuel supply. I already checked the 'inertial fuel cut' (not sure of the name
) and it's ok. Some friends say that the diesel in the tank might be too old... But I don't feel like draining all the fuel from the car
Another suspect is the preheating system because it shows an error on the car's display. But could this prevent the car from starting, not even a cough? Should I change the glow-plugs?
Thanks in advance for your help because I'm a bit lost now...
