Had the car in Autoglass today for a free windscreen leak test. They were very accommodating, removed bits of trim and concluded the the screen is well sealed, no leaks. Door seal is ok too, according to them.
Drove home feeling relieved about the screen. The leak is originating passenger side somewhere the top corner of the dash. Had the large rubber 'sponge' bungs in engine bay out and the scuttle off again...
Hard for me to tell if the panels are original, but some of the seams are not well protected (spot welds, no sealant) - hard to access though. chucked a bucket of water into the cavity at bottom corner where screen, bonnet hinges etc are. Sure enough a fair bit of water ended up inside the cabin.
Ideally the dash needs to come out and the wing off. F k that for a game of soldiers.
Any tips on which seams, joins? and how seal without removing any bodywork?
It's doing my nut. Sorry to bother you lot.
