147 New Owner - Main Dealer Replacement Key Price!
Very happy to be back in the fold having just picked up a lovely low mileage 147 Ducati Corse Q2 :-)
Thing is, it only came with one key so I'm keen to get another for peace of mind. I know the replacement key topic has been covered countless times in the past, but I have one quick question...I've come to the conclusion that the only real option is to go main dealer (to avoid the hassle and uncertainty of a reprogrammed ebay key). I've just been quoted a hefty £318 inc VAT from my local MD (200 for the key, 30 programming, 37 because I don't have the owners manual with reprogramming codes, plus VAT) which seems much steeper than other quotes I've seen on here. Will all MDs provide the same quotes (obviously plus/minus a minor amount) or is it worth shopping around the local-ish MD's for a much better price?
The 'only one key' issue was factored into the buying price of the car, but not quite by this much!
Can alfa specialists (looking at you Autolusso Bournemouth!) carry out this type of work?
Any advice welcome!
