Moves in a straight line
Smooth gears and clutch, make sure gear lever centres in neutral.
Listen for suspension knock and creaks
Knock it out of gear and coast along, listen for wheel bearing drone
Stops in a straight line
Alloy wheel condition
Tyres for uneven wear
As mentioned above, damage to sills caused by incorrect jacking
Make sure both seats tilt and slide
Check heated seats if fitted, switch is on the seat near the height adjust lever.
Carpets for damp.
Exterior door handles
Inner door grab handles, these wear and can look awful
Toolkit and spare wheel, check for water in spare wheel well.
Parking sensors if fitted, turn the ignition on and stand behind each in turn
Condition of engine undertray, if fitted.
Coolant level and colour.
Smoke from exhaust.
Documentation, service history.
Loose - not close, compact, or tight in structure or arrangement
Lose - to part with or come to be without, as through theft, accident, negligence, etc.
