Just changed the turbo on my car (156 jtd) and it now goes really well. Took it around the block and there are clouds of white smoke and oil dripping from the exhaust
When I changed the turbo I put new oil and filter in (but didn't drain all the old stuff out) as it was looking v.low.
Now, I've driven around the block and oil has been trickling out of the exhaust tip, I stopped at the side of the house, revved the engine and there is a small pool of black oil under the tip of the exhaust.
Any ideas as to what this may be - I'm thinking: -
1) Engine has too much oil in and is escaping from the exhaust
2) Engine has been very low on oil (which caused turbo to blow) and the engine is now fcuked which is the reason its excaping from the exhast.
If it is the latter then why didnt the oil light illuminate thus warning of low oil level ?
Any ideas or suggestions would be grateful as this fekin car has cost me over £1.4k in parts (turbo, afm, bearings etc...)over the last few months and I'm getting mighty pi$$ed off with it
Why did I buy an Alfa !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
