GT NEGATIVE CAMBER problem
Dear Alfa lovers,
There is anybody who could figure out what cause the negative camber problem at GT-s? Is it really a manufacturing problem and we cannot do anything with it?
Or does anybody else with this problem at all or just my black beauty is doing this harsh front inner edge tire wearing?
I read somebody who replace the lower and upper arms and nothing changed in terms of tire wearing.
I changed the upper arms (because the squeak) on my car (GT 2007, Tire R17, 215/45) 1 year ago. The other bushes are looking fine but the front tires are wearing badly since I've bought it (2 years ago). The toe are 0 but the camber is over the spec. I'm just sad to see the 2nd pair expensive tires to go into the bin.
My suggestion is 2 possible things can cause the negative camber if the bushes are fine:
1. Height (tiered or shortened springs). Could somebody measure the height between the ground and the front arc please? (Mine is 66cm)
2. Main wheel bearing joint which got a long arm up to the upper arm joint. (I don't know how it is called exactly). If this arm geometry bent than it can cause camber problem too.
So is anybody in the same shoes? Any experience?
Thank you guys.
