If you remove/pull away the boot liner on the offside inner wing, you'll see where the cable clips into the release catch. Use the emergency release (red) cord to pull the catch fully in and you can easily detach the cable. Then its just a question of undoing the two Allen screws that you see in your pic, and the unit just pulls out. Re-fitting is a reverse of the procedure, as they say.
You might get away with just undoing the allen screws and pulling the unit out complete with the cable, but the cable's often fastened onto the inside of the boot.
Got a few catches if you get stuck finding one.
