ive got a 156 2.0 TS LUSSO, on a 99 V, and the heater only blows hot air regardless of temp control position.
thinking it would be similar to my previous 146 i ripped the dash out to gain access to the push / pull cables from the back of the knob to sort them out, only to find that the whole lot is electronic, no cables!
is it likely that the turn control electronics is failing or the hot cold mixer valve?
and if its the valve where is it and what does it look like?
my 99 156 2.5 did same so drivers side foot well i removed control unit for flap stripped unit down put it back together refitted it and it worked but be careful . try unplugging wiring connector first turn ignition on turn off then reconnect , i think it needed to reset its self electronically. saved me buying new unit
its the stepper motor under the right side of the footwell its well tucked under there .if i remember(3yrs ago). its held with 3 screws/bolts and it connects to spindle of flap and when you remove it the flap drops down. its easy to strip down as well but note the gears inside.mangoletsi quoted 50 quid to replace.but did'nt need to .result
Don't know how many of you guys have temperature sensors in your n/s mirror, but if you have, check they are working. If they go wrong, they read the external temp as -21C which means your car thinks it always has to heat the air, whatever you set the interior temp to be. You should be able to check what the sensor is reading by pressing the trip button briefly (I think). Press again to restore trip reading. Worth checking this 1st.
