Re: New Tyre, ASR, new problem!
Hi everyone, thanks for your help. It was definately the ASR (147 re;manual) and the problem has been solved. However I am not pleased.
We purchased the car 2 months ago. I did not look at the fact the tyres were of different brands. The two at the front were the same, the two atthe back were very different indeed. So when the puncture occured I purchased a tyre the same as the one at the back, so now the car should have been even better than before (same thread, brand, size at back and same at front).
This caused the ASR light and function to come on. I took it to an Alfa romeo dealer, they have simply moved the tyres around - now the two at the front are different and the two at the back are different. I am not pleased but the problem has passed.
In total this has cost me £190! (new tyre, diagnostic check for computer and labor cost for moving tyres).
I am not too happy with my new Alfa at the moment. It has also got a squeeck which I will record and post up on my previous post.
In the 25 point check I was told that the belt needs changed at 3500. The car has just done that now. What belt, how much more am I going to have to pay for this car?
