Lowering advixe- springs or coilovers?
Sorry- Advice! Damn spelling, titles are fixed aren't they!?
I'm thinking of lowering my 147 sele. in my eye's it's all it needs to look perfect, but I don't have money to burn.
I've seen the budget coilovers you can get on ebay for around £300, but then there's also lowering springs available for about £80 delivered.
I used to have lowering springs on my old Bravo, and I did find the ride quite harsh, but it was on 40-profile tyres. (and the shocks were standard)
Surely coilovers aren't going to be any less harsh than the springs route? So I may as well go for springs? Adjustability isn't important to me.
How about uprated dampers? Where do I find a set of dampers that are specifically designed for lowered springs? Is it essential? I never noticed a damping problem on the Bravo. Dampers wouldn't affect how harsh the ride is would they?
