I keep bumping my catalysts on my 147?

Everytime I go over a speedbump to fast I hear a colossal thud and wince knowing that my catalysts have just hit the ground!!!!

Is there a workaround to protect the catalysts if I do hit the ground. I know the obvious answer is to slow down... but theres always the speedbump that jumps out at you when you least expect it.

Ideas would be to have some kind of protective strut of sorts that sits lower than the catalyst to take the impact. Only problem is that the force has to go somewhere - where to I dunno. Just wondering if anyone has thought about this and maybe put something in to practice.

I'd guess it's probably either the engine undertray, the front spoiler, or the engine sump - or at a push the silencers, rather than the cat.
As you say though, there's not much you can do to protect it, other than go slower.

Just a thought - my 147 was missing an exhaust support bracket at the front of the engine. This caused the whole front of the exhaust to rattle. Maybe that's missing on yours and you're not really grounding the cat?
