Urgent help needed! - Selespeed issues....
MOT tomorrow morning and gear selection isnt working. Long story short - Ive been rebuilding my 156 selespeed over the last year and and its finally all back together and has its MOT tomorrow. I dropped the subframe, removed the old gearbox as the synchros had gone, replaced the clutch and release bearing with new ones, fitted new gearbox (156 donor car with 50k miles from autolusso, lawrence said it was in very good conditon and have no reason to doubt him), actuator placed back on the gearbox, bleed all fluids through (gearbox and selespeed), new accumilator installed, plugged into Alfadiag, bleed clutch done (successful), EOL done (also successful), clutch rod length is set at 28.10mm (engine off ignition on mar when tested). No fault codes at all, all calibrations were successful.
Heres the problem: When igniton is on (engine not started) i can select neutral, 1st, 2nd, then it jumps to 5th, but can come down from 5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd then 1st and back into neutral absolutely fine, also can select reverse with ignition on but engine not started. When the engine is running, i can select 1st and 2nd fine (although there is a delay whilst selecting those gears, 1.5 - 2 seconds to change from neutral to 1st or from 1st to 2nd) and whilst the engine is running i cannot select reverse (place my foot on the brake for the duration, use the gear stick to select reverse, I can her a clunk then nothing).
the weird thing is throughout this whole process i never get any fault codes and the selespeed light never flashes when "miss selecting" gears....
the battery voltage shows 12.77v and the clutch rod length is 28.10mm, I can test individually all the elecro-valves on the alfa diag and all seem fine.
Really need some advice / help on this one please guys!!
