Hello all, I know I am going to get varying opinions by asking these questions but at least it will give me ideas to start looking into.
I have a 97K 2004 plate 156 2.4jtd 20V lusso, owned it for 5 years and its never let us down after buying it through the Alfa Romeo dealership network and getting a few gremlins sorted under warranty its been a fantastic car.
So much so we didn't want to part with it, having recently purchased a 500 Arbarth (sorry I know its an Alfa Forum) I now would like to spend time upgrading the Alfa as it needn't be our daily driver anymore.
I have basic knowledge and 90% of mechanicals will be done by my local independent garage, just I could do with some tips and suggestions on what to ask them to do.
Basic thoughts are I want to keep the look of the car fairly original, perhaps a slightly larger diameter wheel with lower profile tyres.
Lowered stiffened suspension?
then an increase in power if at all possible on this age and mileage of car....
will my clutch need upgraded?
any other thoughts
Had cam belts, water pumps done at 44K and 96K approximately, one drive shaft other is due shortly
Been looked after service wise...
so guys I am all ears anything you may suggest I will look at...
I liked the idea a few of you on here are up grading the interior ICE to incorporate either modern tablet computer type screen somewhere of built in hands free (Blue and Me) also
Ok I'll await to see what you say
