Help Required - Potential Sensor
Hello as some might know I fitted a 1.8 twin spark to my 147.
This morning on the run to work (Motorway 90% of the journey) the car decided to give me the MCSF.
Now interestingly it cut all power below 3000rpm and wouldn't start if I didn't keep it above those revs.
So I just nursed it to work above 3000 rpm.
Now when it first happened I thought the cam belt had gone or I'd put some thing back together wrong. Which I don't believe I have.
Now the fact the engine still ran and sounded the same above 3000 rpm makes me thing that its the crank sensor that's gone. I am at work so can't read the codes but will try again when / If the car cools and maybe starts.
Has anyone else had this. I changed the sensor on the old engine. Fiddly but ok.
But I just want a bit of a heads up to as if you think it is that.
Also if others have noticed that it still works above those rev's?
