I Want To Be Thrilled, But....
Good evening all,
I am the proud owner of a AR Selespeed 156 2.0 Veloce (used). Having purchased it only a week ago I'd like some advice from any experienced members of the community as I've never driven a tiptronic before.
I'd first like to say it was an absolute pleasure driving it home from Wigan to Birmingham but of course, its pure motorway milage. Having spent the rest of the week 'city' driving, I've encountered things happening like :
1. From a cold start, gears change automatically to neutral (infrequently, and only when cold, maybe about 5 times during the week).
2. Gear changes are rough, theres a 'clunk' as it changes into and down from 2nd. Sometimes on other gears but not as bad. I hope you know what I mean by that.
3. During gear changes, the car 'draws' back. This may be normal but I've driven an Audi A3 and another AR and none suffer these problems.
In the Audi and the other AR, the gear changes were as smooth as silk, I could honestly say that I didn't know what gear I was in, no drawing or clunks.
The car is under warranty, so before I take it in and hear 'It seems fine to me mate, you're just not used to it!' I would hope anyone could offer me some guidance.
Pictures of 'the beast' to follow as soon as I get a little more settled and thanks for the welcome notes.
