Very poor dipped beam on 147 2004
Hi everyone, I know this has probably been asked a lot, but perhaps you could help, or point me to the right thread?
Basically, the standard H7 55w lights on my 2004 147 are rubbish, they are set to the highest level also. In the dark they only shine about 2-3 metres in front of the car. Main beam is fine, not brilliant but fine, but just the dipped beam is terrible. This is my first Alfa so not sure if this is a common thing or not.
I used to have a Clio (2002) and the dipped beam were extremely bright (i'd get flashed sometimes) and the main beam was like a nuclear explosion! lol.
Now, i'm an extremely confident driver, but, It's at the point where I don't really want to drive her at night unless it's in a lit area, because I can't see very far ahead, and if a car comes the other way, well, I can't see the road at all!!
I've been looking at various bulbs for a couple of weeks now, also the HID conversion kits, which i'm still confused as to whether they're legal or not!!!
Please help, thanks
