Removing front hub flange on 156
came to change my brake disks and TWO of the wheels nuts sheared off they had seized up so badly. Today removed brake disks to reveal two stubs from the stubborn wheel nuts. Tried everything to remove them but they just bent and distorted/rounded off.
So, Plan B, remove centre 36mm nut and place a new hub flange (not bearing). A few questions,
1 . Bend tabs back outwards to release nut
2 . 36mm socket to remove nut
3 . hub flange comes off
4 . replace with new hub gland and new nut.
Anything I've missed there? Nut is set to 67Nm , I guess that equates to 6.7Kg dangling on the end of a 1 metre long pole?
