1 electric window not working - Any ideas?
I am new to this Forum but I have found lots of interesting Solutions for many of the issues I have had with my Alfa 156 2.0 TS from the year 2000.
But I still have 1 Problem to solve.
The Driver side electric window does not go down. It works going up and you can hear the Motor push when using the up Switch. So its not the Motor. I even swapped the polarity of the Motor and the window goes down. So surely not the Motor. I tried the Switch with the passenger window and that also works fine. I also replaced the Windows control box but still no joy. The Problem started just after I opened the wiring Connection box in the side of the door to check the wiring for one of the Speakers and since then I have this Problem. I am thinking that one of the wires leading from the Switch to the Windows control box is broken..... is it common for the wiring to break and how could one Change such a wire? I imagine it runs behind the Dashboard and is a Major Job!
Thanks for any advice.
