What a money saving forum!
So I've had my 147 since Tuesday afternoon and have managed to sort a few minor jobs out for very little cost due to finding solutions on here.
First of all, the cruise control wasn't functioning. Having a search on here, I noted that the main culprit would be the switch on either the brake or clutch pedal. On mine, it was the clutch. So I superglued two 5p pieces together and placed them on the little square pad which contacts the switch. Now I have fully functioning cruise control!
I've also managed to source some decent Birth front and bottom arms from shop4parts. Not only that but a kind member on here has given me a 10% off code as well.
Also got some bits from Eurocarparts to give the car a little service. 5 litres of 10w40 oil and a Mann filter for £18. Also some rear pads and discs for £34. I know the oil might not be the best but it's the right viscosity and I plan to do 6 month oil changes with limited mileage so I doubt it'll be a problem.
