Steering Shudder

My 147 has developed a steering wheel shudder over 65mph and I'm in danger of getting whitefinger. I recently got 4 new tyres and on the same day hit a massive pothole. I've had the balancing checked but the shudder persists. anyone got any ideas ehat else I can check before I reluctantly go to the dealership?

Re: Steering Shudder

Maybe put the tracking out when you hit the pothole.

Re: Steering Shudder

You may have developed an oval wheel if the pothole was bad enough.

I don`t think you need a dealer, just a decent wheel/tyre place.

Re: Steering Shudder

Yes, sounds like a bent wheel. Get them to spin it up on their machine and look for any wobbles.
