hi everyone, i have my 156 for a year now , i bought it with the standard 16'' alloys, and wanted an upgrade but never done it because everyone on this forum kept saying in all treads about alloys that the 18''s are toooo big.
i bought a set 2 weeks ago, fitted them with 225/40r18 and no problem at all.
done 1100 miles with them with 4 passengers some stuff in the boot never touched anything
my 156 is a diesel 1.9 16 veloce with the lowered suspension and is absolutely fine
the ride .... the ride was **** before and is **** now as well no diference almost at all
i have to say most of my driving is in motorway and A road
town, i think is no diference siting in trafic with 18'' 17'' or 16'' at 2m/h
so my point is if you want 18''s go ahead it wont rub or touch anywhere, make sure you have enough clearence from the suspension and don't go too wide with tyres and you'll be fine.
i put some pictures
