Air feeder contraption! I don't get it?
I am refitting a custom GTA style front bumper on my 156 (see my avatar) after my son tore it off when he parked over a low curb (tore off the bumper and put a hole in the radiator and the steering servo pipes as well).
The spoiler won't fit with the air intake box in it's propper place as it hits the left side fog light. I don't mean the box that holds the filter, but the weird looking box that fits under the wing and connects to the filter box
My question is. Is this box designed with some idea of performance enhancement or is it such a complicated design only to minimise intake noise?
I am thinking of ditching the box and just fitting a flexy hose from the filter box and up under the wing.
