Misty Headlight

Hi all
I 've just become the new owner of my first Alfa... a beautiful 147 TS Lusso and this my first post, so be gentle with me.

One minor problem is misty headlight (condensation on the inside of the glass). Any of you experts got any suggestions for the cause and how to get rid of it.

Thanks in advance.

welcome to AO Username....

sounds like a rubber has gone or you have a crack in the lens...to get rid of the condensation you can always use a hairdryer...worked for me in the past

I've never had this but I believe that the best thing to do is to use a hair dryer on low heat as was said - maybe also take off the black access cap at the rear of the unit when you are doing this.

Re: Misty Headlight

Hello username, There were quite a number of remedies offered, my own, for what it was worth, on posts a while back. If you check out 147 tec stuff with perseverence, you should find it. Quite a few ideas that may help.

Re: Misty Headlight

If you read the manual, they suggest a little bit of condensation is quite normal. Our 147 tends to accumalate a bit, through lack of use,but then a run with the headlights on dries it out.
If you stick the lights on full beam, for 20 mins,or so most of the condensation will disappear.
