Service, Brakes and thanks
Not a prolific poster on this site but visit very regularly and find it a great source of information, how to's and tips and tricks so thank you all for that
In the last couple of weeks I have done a mini service changing all the filters and oil with help from the 'how to' found here. Apart from needing to be a bit of a contortionist all went well although I find there is a bit of play in one of the pipe connections to the fuel filter (the lower side connection, not the top one) - is this normal? Can't remember if it was slightly loose to start with or not. Does appear to be a slight drip somewhere so will have to investigate.
Next on the list is a change of all the pads and discs, using Mintex which seem to get favourable feedback and all for €200 so can't complain. Also ordered the rewind tool kit for the rears, £13.88. Quoted €100+ from the local indie.
Will try to get pictures and post a write-up when done - Put something back for all the help the site has given me.
After all that is done it will be the timing belt and water pump although will have to get some sheckles together, thankfully the step father is a mechanic all his life so should be only a matter of buying the parts and offering a helping hand.
