Sooty. The car was looked at after the MOT this afternoon. The mechanic said that he could not find anything wrong with the headlamp, and suggested that I have another MOT redone somewhere else. However, he did say that only an MOT station would have the correct technology to check the headlamp issues. The MOT station was very vague about what was wrong with the headlamp and were saying that the lens were cloudy; they were not, or the image was incorrect, or it had been knocked. I shall do as you suggest as I have found other parts that way. Problem is that I have been ripped off several times, this way before, and I have found that a second MOT station will find other things that they say are failures, and pass such things as Flexicaps and headlamps that to all intents and purposes are functioning perfectly normally. I would have to see the results of the headlamp test myself, and this is not always permitted, although I have, in the past!!!
