I have the kit mentioned on my 1.6, it's okay, a real faff to fit and you can't see it.
It basically equates to a bit of pipe in a funny shape that I can't see will actually do anything considering how far the air has to travel through the box and through the filter, I think it's supposed to look a bit like a velocity stack but it does bugger all except maybe let the engine breath a little easier. Just replaces about 4 feet of ducting that goes up into the passenger side wing.
You have to take some bits out of the standard airbox where the filter lives, the bits are what keep the induction quiet I believe (some resonator thingy).
To be perfectly fair I think it's a rip-off, I bought it when I didn't know any better and I'm going to replace it with a proper air induction kit like the Carbon Dynamics CDA. I had originally ordered a carbon version of the same bit of pipe and that would have cost me £130 for about a gram less weight and the same washable 'sports' filter.
If you want to get decent performanc from your twinnie get a sports hi-flow CAT, a good induction kit and a remap. Probably cost about £750 for the lot but you'd be looking at a healthy increase in power for the money rather than a perceived increase in power from a bit of foam and a bit of plastic pipe.
What's 4-5bhp into 120bhp as a % BUGGER ALL
Don't waste your money.
