So i'm getting a little fed up with Mariella and hoped some knowledgeable bods could help.
The car is totally standard except for the stereo and speakers but thats not important right now.
Original clutch (assume DMF too), shocks and springs.
I've had it for four years and done about 40k miles (now on 92k)and since buying it there has been a judder under acceleration in 3rd gear. I've lived with it and had my grease monkeys look at the drive shafts - the drivers side one was replaced within a month of me owning it. I was told they look fine and were re packed with grease anyway. The judder remains.
The second thing is more recent, say in the last couple of months. A slight squeak has started when going over bumps.
I've also lost a little confidence with the cornering as it almost appears to sling shot the car over once I begin the straighten the wheel again, almost like not enough damping is taking place?
Finally, yesterday I was driving on the A1 with some long sweeping bends, foot on the gas at 70mph (really), over certain road surfaces the car felt like it was going to shake itself to bits. As it gently bounced over undulations in the road it got worse and better as the weight increased and reduced. Also, it seemed to be worse on left hand bends than on right hand ones. Foot off the gas and it appears to cease.
I had the butter soft alloys straightened at the begining of this year so have fingers crossed its not that again but the only way to tell is to have the wheels off and on a balance machine to visibly check.
I'm thinking, uneven wear on clutch/DMF, knackered shocks? hub wheel bearings shot?
Any pointers you may have would be of great value. Even saying why it was worse on some surfaces more than others.
