Alfa 156 Selespeed
I have a 53 plate Alfa 156 Selespeed. It had an actuator change early in its life and when I was driving it I had spent around 4k keeping everything sweet. I have not driven this car for two years. Why? because I didnt need two cars (Mrs had a company car) and we eventually lost the one and only key.
Now this to replace is £350, so I am faced with the agonising decision of.
a) sell it for scrap metal value
b)sell the leather seats and alloys and then scrap it.
c) spend the money, then have to spend more to get it MOT'D and sold.
d) get a replacement ECU and somehow change the barrel on the column.
I guess I just wanted some thoughts on it. I loved the car and the gearbox was monumental when changing down approaching a roundabout. The kids called the car the beast and I would love to get it going again.
Any help or advice is much appreciated just incase I have missed an option e or f .
