156 jtdm exhaust diameter

Hi guys,

My flexi pipe has a hole, so I thought about replacing the rest of the exhaust also.
My understanding is that the exhaust is 55mm in diameter(1.9 jtdm), so I thought about putting 60 mm all the way from the flexi pipe to the end of the car.
I know that it will not make a very big difference, but my guess there will be some difference for sure, maybe not in the power, but definitely in the flexibility.
Is this correct?

I had same problem on a 1.9 JTD 8V 2 weeks ago and I guessed the problem may be with the flexibility of the line that may create problems somewhere else ... although my previous cars did not have a flex connection.
I choose to replace the full piece for a Walker brand at 118 Euro in B.
It is a pity as the pipe itself is in perfect condition. You can found on ebay flex sections to connect on a 55 mm external diameter pipe for 40 pounds.
I did not do it as on the 8V there is no real straight pipe section at both ends of the flex.
